I'm posting this too late, this event is held about 1 month ago. But it is better late than never, right? :p

#MozBukberBDG is a special #MozCoffee event that is held in Ramadhan fasting month. The main theme for this #MozBukberBDG is #FoxYeah, a Firefox Community campaign. #MozBukberBDG was held at Nomnom Eatery, June 26th.


This is the first offline event that i attend :D (I don't consider #MozBooth at Festival TIK 2015 as an event haha). #MozBukberBDG gave me a view about how Mozilla event should be held. Generally, the event is filled with presentation from Indonesia Mozilla Representatives (Mozilla Reps), little quiz, photo and video taking, and of course break fasting together. Overall, I think this event is goes well.

In this event, Mozilla Reps tell about newest update for Firefox browser. One of the changes that is presented here is now Mozilla Firefox has a built-in Pocket button, that can be synchronized with Firefox account. This new feature helps us to save anything that we want to see in the internet later. Moreover, also explained about how Mozilla Community in Indonesia is run.

In this occasion too, Webmaker android app is explained. This application is now available at Google Play Store for a beta version. The stable release for this application will be released in August. The stable version of the webmaker app will provide more feature and of course, bug fixes. Webmaker is an effort from Mozilla to make a new generation that is not only a web user, but also become a web maker. To enliven the event, there was also a challenge that tell the attendees to make something with webmaker android app. 2 lucky attendees got their firefox t-shirt at this challenge.

Another interesting thing in this event is they demonstrate Firefox Hello. Firefox Hello is a video call service that is developed by Firefox. Even the title says Firefox, the video call can be used in every modern browser, just send the conversation link. In the demonstration, Fauzan calls other Mozilla Reps that is using it from Jakarta, Rara. The new feature of Firefox Hello is now you can share your tab in the call. So, while having a conversation we can also share the tab that is opened with Mozilla Firefox. This feature can be useful for a tech support, or just want to share great page with others.

Finally, we break the fast. During mealtime, some of the attendees take a video testimony about Firefox. And not to forget we added #FoxYeah at the end of every testimony. We ended up take photo with every #MozBukber attendees.
